Quarterback for the New England Patriots, Tom Brady has been suspended for four of the 2015 NFL regular season football games due to his involvement with the Deflategate controversy. The Wells Report reached a conclusion that the quarterback was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities (Patriots won Super Bowl in February vs. Seattle Seahawks).
What is the Deflategate?
- Deflategate is a controversy in the National Football League (NFL), originating from an allegation that the New England Patriots used suspiciously under-inflated footballs in the American Football Conference (AFC) Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts on January 18, 2015. Patriots won 45-7 Colts.
How this will effect the Patriots:
- Patriots fined $1 million
- Will forfeit a first-round pick in 2016 and a fourth-round pick in 2017
- Brady will not play in 4 games with no pay
